Dr. Luis Peña-Lévano is an assistant professor in Dairy Cattle Production, Health, and Management Economics at UC Davis, in the School of Veterinary Medicine. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, specializing in International Trade and Environmental Economics, with a focus on climate change’s impact on food security and agriculture. Luis is the founder of the Louis Dairy Econ Lab and an expert in dairy economics, benefit-cost analysis, agribusiness, and environmental economics. He has received prestigious recognitions including the Rising Star Award at the IFAMA conference in New Zealand, the EAERE Best Paper in Environmental and Resource Economics, the Outstanding Young Scholar Award by the FAMPS section of the AAEA, among many others.
