Research Fellow in Dairy Economics

Fernando is an applied economist specialising in agricultural and environmental economics. He is also passionate about employing data science across various disciplines, including, but not limited to, labour economics, education, and medical science. He holds a PhD in Economics from the National University of Ireland.

Fernando has been a lecturer on economics-related topics in several institutions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of California Riverside, USA, and the University of Birmingham, UK. In addition to his academic experience, Fernando performed as the Chief Data Officer at an NGO in Mexico and Latin America from 2015 to 2019. He is a postdoctoral research scholar at the University of California, Davis in Louis Lab.
