Dr. Luis M. Peña-Lévano Awarded UC Davis Chancellor’s Fellow

We are proud to announce that Dr. Luis Peña-Lévano, Assistant Professor in the School of Veterinary Medicine, has been named a recipient of the prestigious 2025 Chancellor’s Fellowship from UC Davis. This award recognizes five early-career faculties across all campuses who demonstrate exceptional commitment to mentoring future professionals. This fellowship recognizes faculty members that have made “exceptional contributions in supporting, tutoring, mentoring, and advising underrepresented students and/or students from underserved communities.”
The award will support his ongoing extension and research activities and initiatives, which are closely aligned with our Louis Lab’s mission. This recognition also reflects the strength of our lab’s collaborative culture and shared commitment to impactful and global research.
